If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please stop reading this and contact our office right away at (904) 733-7254.
It is hard to plan for the unexpected, but dental emergencies do happen and, when they do, it is crucial that you contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to fit you in as fast as we can. Children are especially susceptible to dental emergencies.
Accidents happen, and it is important to know that you have a dentist who is available, ready to stand by your side, and capable of ensuring that you and your child receive optimal care in a timely fashion.
Our office telephone is monitored 24 hours a day and seven days a week so that we can answer your call at any time, for any reason.
Dental Emergencies
A dental emergency can happen at any moment. In an instant, your child may fall or bite into something hard that causes a tooth to crack. They may experience severe pain and, in some cases, the gum surrounding the tooth may begin to bleed.
Not every instance of an accidentally-lost tooth requires emergency treatment, but it is better to have a dental expert evaluate the situation to ensure that there is no serious damage to the gum before assuming the pain will subside. Young children especially are prone to severe crying due to dental pain, and this can be managed with a short visit.
We care for all forms of dental emergencies, including:
Orthodontic emergencies
Cracked teeth
Avulsed teeth
Lost fillings or crowns
Severe tooth pain
Bleeding gums
Dislodged teeth
It is important to remember that while children naturally lose their teeth, the process happens gradually and only as the mature teeth develop. An avulsed (knocked out) “baby” tooth may still require emergency treatment, especially if other teeth were cracked or the gum was damaged.
Our dental experts are available around the clock to answer your questions and offer emergency treatment as needed. In the case of any dental emergency at all, know that we are available and ready to help, and do not hesitate to contact us.
